Historical Preview
After the separation of chhattisgarh
from M.P. state in the month of Nov. 2000, National IMA H.Q. New
Delhi appointed Dr. Surya Prakash Saxena Durg, who was then the Vice
President of IMA M.P. State Branch, as conveyor, & entrusted him to
from new state branch in newly establishing state Chhattisgarh. He
had given responsibilities to workout & make all infrastructure
required fro the new state branch like formation of adhoc state
working committee & its working till the elected body come in force,
constitution & By Laws, & date of application, legal financial
separation from the old parental state M.P., transfer of membership
along with the deposit, conduction of election & installation of
elected body of IMACGSTBR. He was instructed to organize meeting of
all President & Secretaries of (21) branches situated in
Chhattisgarh. Empowered upon by IMA NHQ New Delhi Dr Saxena called
meeting of all Presidents & Secretaries on 17th Dec 2000 at Hotel
Giriraj Jail Road Raipur (Hosted by the IMA Raipur). Dr. R.K.
Kathariya Jt. Secretary (F) IMA National HQ New Delhi was present as
observer & for guidance to meet out any difficulties. Election were
conducted in most democratic way & thus the adhoc working committee
came into existence on the same day headed by Dr. J. L. Arya as State President Dr. S.P. Saxena as
Hony. State Secretary & Dr. Anoop Verma as state treasurer, Zonal
Chairman from old two zones, all past State Presidents from
Chhattisgarh with one representative from each IMA branch located in
state. And thus the IMA Chhattisgarh State Branch came under
IMA Map in country on 17th Dec. 2000 as new state body. Adhoc State
working body started functioning well & made different committees,
viz Memorandum, Rules & By Laws committee, Legal action committee,
IMA News Letter committee, State award committee, to workout in
state.
